Tree coloring pages are here for all you certified tree huggers! No shame, I'm one too! Sometimes, while out hiking, I see a tree that is just so neat I need to hug it. Of course, I can’t take a whole tree home from the forest, but these tree coloring pages contain all my favorites. Our collection includes fall trees dropping their leaves, winter trees bearing snow, and spring and summer trees blooming beautifully. Watch cute creatures climb a tree or choose an intricate and realistic tree coloring page for adults.

Awesome Tree Crafts
Here, we’ve collected not just crafts about trees, but also crafts that use trees. These are great crafts for the kids as well, so gather them around and get crafting.
Make a “Hand” Tree
I love this one for the kids because it makes both a fun craft and a nostalgic memento. Make your very own palm tree using your own palm! First, trace your or your kid’s hand on a piece of paper. If you use brown construction paper, you can then cut out the tracing and have your tree trunk right there. If you cut out your trunk, you’ll need to glue it onto another piece of paper. If you didn’t, make sure you color in your tree trunk after tracing your hand.
Now it’s time to add some tree leaves. You can use real tree leaves if you have some on hand. Otherwise, you need to draw some. You can also get creative with materials like tissue paper or even little sections of your tree coloring pages.
Go Outside to Make a Tree Bark Rubbing
Take your crafting outdoors! This is a cool way to teach kids about nature and trees. All they’ll need is a piece of paper and a crayon. Hold the paper against a tree trunk and start coloring with the crayon. The texture of the bark will transfer onto your paper. If you’re really clever, you can take a tree coloring page and color in just the tree trunk on the coloring sheet to give your image real tree texture.
Create a Delicious Snack Tree
Talk about the “tree of life.” This delicious snack tree will give you life when you need a little sugar and carb boost. For the branches and trunk, use pretzel sticks. They do a good job of mimicking the look and texture of bark. For the tree leaves, you can use green candies. Maybe you can even turn your snack tree into an apple tree by adding little red candies as well.
Use a Real Tree as an Easel
Trees do so much for us. They give us fruit and shade. They cool us down in the heat of summer. But they can also act as easels!
If you have a nice big tree in your yard, perhaps an oak tree or pine tree, you can tack your tree coloring page to the trunk and use the tree itself as an easel. This works better with paints. Otherwise you’ll just get the tree bark texture as in the craft above. You can even trace your tree coloring page onto an actual canvas and literally use your tree as an easel for your painting. This is a good chance to get the kids outside in nature while they’re doing a fun activity.
Apple Templates and Coloring Pages
One of our favorite fall trees is the wonderful apple tree! Whether you're going apple picking, making a pie, or sipping some delicious apple cider, our apple templates and coloring pages offer the perfect crafting and coloring accompaniment.
