Crafts for Your Turkey Coloring Pages

There is so much you can do with your turkey coloring pages beyond just coloring them. Here are a few of our favorite craft ideas. (And while you’re here, check out our build-your-own-turkey templates and build-your-own-pumpkin templates for more fall-themed fun!)

Make a Turkey To-Go Bag

It’s inevitable that you’ll have leftovers. Send your guests home with a one-of-a-kind turkey to-go bag. All you need is some construction paper and a brown paper bag. You can use our turkey coloring pages as a guide or even as additions and flourishes. Cut out your turkey pieces, then glue them onto the bag. The face will go at the bottom of the bag, like a paper bag puppet. Your guests will love these cute to-go bags!

Turn a Paper Plate into a Turkey Decoration

You can also use unused paper plates to create turkeys for your holiday decorations. Start by cutting the plate in half. Then you can paint or color it to look like feathers. You can even cut feathers out from turkey coloring pages and paste those on. Make your turkey body and face out of construction paper and add that to the center.

Use Autumn Leaves for a Turkey

You can even make a turkey out of real autumn leaves! If you are fortunate enough to live in a place that gets those beautiful fall colors, use them as feathers for a turkey design. Once again, you can make your turkey body and face out of construction paper. Try to get an array of fall colors for a beautiful spectrum of turkey feathers.

Create Handprint Turkeys

You will probably have a lot of cousins and relatives and kids around for the holidays. You can create a cherished and holiday-appropriate memory with a handprint turkey. Use some non-toxic paint to paint kids’ palms. Then have them stamp their hands on plain paper. You can make the thumb into the turkey’s head and use the other fingers as the feathers. Compare the handprints next year to see how much they’ve grown!
