I can’t wait to color fairy gardens in a fantastical palette with lots of blues, purples, and pinks. I love incorporating some of the more natural tones with our vegetable and flower printables as well (with the occasional vibrant palette when the mood strikes!). Creative Ways to Use Your Gardening Coloring Pages

Garden coloring pages are for more than just coloring and passing the time. You can also find practical (and fun!) uses for them. Whether these crafts are for your home or real life garden, check out a few of our ideas on crafting with your garden coloring pages.

Make Vegetable Garden Markers

Have you ever planted flowers or crops and then completely forgot what you’ve planted? I know I have! It’s important to know which plants you are dealing with when it comes to sunlight and watering. There’s no shame in forgetting which plant is planted where, sometimes things take months to grow. But that’s where these garden markers come in handy!

Print out whichever garden pages you’d like to use to label your plants with and then simply color and cut out. I like to laminate my markers so that they do not fade in the sun or fall apart in the rain. Paste your colored plant marker on a popsicle stick and place in the dirt or flower pot. Now you know which plant you’re watering!

Create Your Own Fairy Garden

Bring your fantasy realm to life by creating your own fairy garden. Our fairy garden coloring pages are a great place to start, but you can use any garden coloring pages you’d like. For this magical craft, you’ll need a box (a shoebox or bigger!), coloring utensils, glue, and your imagination.

Once you’ve colored in your garden pages, cut them out and paste them in your box to create your fairy wonderland. Personally, I like to use a medium-sized box so that I can make a bigger world and paint the background. Don’t forget the glitter—fairies love glitter! For more fun, break out your fairy dolls, unicorns, and other magical creature figurines so that they can be at home in their new realm.

Learn About Various Plants

Garden coloring pages can be an amazing learning opportunity for kids of all ages. Whether your kids are just getting introduced to types of flowers, fruits, and veggies or learning how to take care of a garden these coloring pages will certainly get the conversation going. When your little geniuses are coloring, see if they can label the parts to plants or explain why water and sunshine help them grow, for example. Learning about the environment is a great way to create future gardeners. This would make a great Earth Day activity too!

Decorate a Flower Pot

Looking for the perfect gift for Mom for Mother’s Day? Get creative and make her a unique flower pot. For this craft, you’ll need a clay flower pot, mod podge, coloring utensils, scissors, and your imagination. First, color and cut out all of your (or her) favorite parts of our garden coloring pages. Paste your beautiful designs on the clay pot and seal with mod podge. Be sure to put her favorite flowers in the pot to show you how much you appreciate her!

Flower Coloring Pages

Few things are as fun to color as a beautiful flower design. You can use almost any color you want to bring them to life, and they're naturally elegant. Plus, they make great gifts! Check out our big collection of flower coloring pages for the full bouquet.
