Crafts for Using Flower Templates and Outlines

Let’s get crafty with those flower template printables! There are so many ways you can use your sheets as flower craft templates or elements of some larger craft. Let’s look at some of our favorites.

Make Flower Garden Markers

While you’re busy planting flowers, take a moment to pause and mark them with your own homemade flower markers. Our flower templates are great for this craft. If you are planting one of the types of flowers we have here, such as a Dahlia, you can print that out, color it, and put it on a popsicle stick for a simple garden marker. Or use the simple flower templates and write the name of the flower somewhere on your design. You can also color the flower to match what you’re growing. Coat your flower template in some Mod Podge to protect it somewhat from weather and water.

Make a Flower Bookmark

What’s more peaceful than reading in your garden? It’s one of the most serene and wonderful activities I can think of. Don’t forget to mark your page with a bookmark you made yourself. All you have to do is print out a flower template and color it in (the brighter the better!). Then cut it to a bookmark shape and put it on something sturdy like cardstock. Coat it in Mod Podge to help it stay beautiful for a bit longer and you’re ready to go.

Create a Flower Wreath for Indoors

Bring your flowers indoors. The big flower outlines are good for this craft, or you can use several flower templates and combine them into one design. Either way, you’ll need to print out your templates and color them in. If you’re using several flowers, you might want a circle you can use as your base. Cut out the middle and glue your flowers around the circle to create your wreath. This is a great craft to share with your kids.

Use Your Flowers for Gift Toppers and Tags

Do you have a special event in spring or summer? You can cut out pieces of flower templates and use them as custom gift toppers and tags. This is extra special because it’s so personal. You can buy a card from the store, but a gift tag you colored yourself (maybe with the kids) adds a little extra touch that’s so personal and endearing.
