Here, we’re mostly going to focus on the latter while we enjoy some fun elf coloring pages that are perfect for the kids around Christmas time. 🎄🎁🍬

Elf-Inspired Crafts for Christmas Time
Our elf coloring pages are a great way to kick off some elf-inspired crafts for Christmas. You don’t have to stick just to coloring either. We have a range of elf crafts you and your little ones can enjoy.
Toilet Paper Roll Elf
There are so many household items you can turn into elf crafts. Take a toilet paper roll, for example. It’s super simple to turn an old toilet paper roll into an elf. All you need is scissors, glue, and construction paper. First, you’ll build your elf on the construction paper. If you aren’t sure where to start, there are a lot of elf templates you can use as a guide, like these elf coloring pages. Googly eyes are a super fun touch. You could use a pompom for the nose as well. It’s up to you! Once you have your elf assembled, cover the toilet paper roll in glue and wrap him around it. As an alternative, you can color directly on the toilet paper roll itself.
Elf Ornaments for Your Tree
You’ll want studier paper for this one than just construction paper. If you printed your elf coloring pages on cardstock, you could even use that. Alternatively, you could print an elf coloring page then glue it to cardstock to make it sturdier.
When you have your cardstock elf, all you have to do is cut it out and color it in. Finally, use a hole punch to put a hole in the top. Thread a bit of ribbon through the hole and ta-da! You have your very own homemade elf ornament for your Christmas tree. The kids will love seeing an ornament they made themselves hanging on the tree this year.
Wearable Elf Hat
If it’s not enough to color elf coloring pages, you can also be an elf yourself by making your own wearable elf hat. You will need to measure your kids’ heads for this. That’s because you need to make a construction paper headband to go around your kid’s head. You can do this by cutting out strips of construction paper, then stapling them together to be the appropriate length.
For the hat itself, you can cut out any shape of elf hat you like. It could be triangular or sport a fun curve at the tip. Decorate your hat with glitter, pom poms, and any other decorations you enjoy. Do stripes or freestyle it and color to your heart’s content! Then attach the hat to the band, and you’ll have your elf hat. Looking good!
Popsicle Stick Elves
If you’ve got some popsicle sticks lying around, this is a great way to use them. (And if you don’t, maybe it’s time to buy a tasty treat and eat it all to get some popsicle sticks for your craft time.) Put the popsicle sticks side by side. Four should be about right. Break off a smaller part of a stick and glue it across the top and the bottom. This will hold the sticks together.
Now you can paint the front of the sticks. If you want, you can cut out construction paper accessories like a hat for your elf. If you want to keep your elves all season long, simply glue on a bit of ribbon to transform this craft into an ornament for the tree. Hot glue will probably work best and last the longest.
